Woot! HAMI RAID!!! oh....wait....we're not raiding hami are we?
Oh sure....get a tank all excited about hami raids, and we aren't even raiding hami right now......
Great guide. I give it a once over before and I slightly understand what to do :P
Who would have thought so much coordination would be involved.
Geeze Chaud, Chynna would be very popular there!!!
So far I have 2 HO's that I got from fighting the Hamidon. However, I admit, both times I happnened to show up at the end. The one time I was there at the start the the raiding party wiped lol. I don't think we had enough PA's.
I do have to give a shout-out to Sword of Artemis...she gave me an HO!!! What's a better gift than that for a lvl 50? :P
Honestly, what good does a Dmg/Rng HO do for someone WHO USES A FRICKIN' BROADSWORD?!?!
Awesome post, Baba. This is something I definately need to read up on. I've been there from the beginning a couple of times & never know what is going on. Thank goodness for Cap stopping me one time from attacking when they were still in the holding phase! LOL
Colder, it was my pleasure to give that HO to you since I dragged you all the way there at nearly the end of the raid. I have yet to get a useful HO & not even sure what I even need to trade for it. Oh well I will figured it out eventually.
And on a parting note......
CAP!!!
Hey! I traded you one Sword! Did you give it away?
I think the trick is in trading. Twice I got lucky and the last two times, I got stuff I couldn't use but traded it out.
I have never taken Chynna to a hami raid, really I go to raids for fun..not HO's. lol I have three damage/mez on my tents and some hit too/recharge ones but last couple of raids I haven't gotten anything useful...traded them out until I could finally give the last one away. :) Seems to me with ED you really can't get to much use out of a hami anymore, but he sure is fun to raid.
Thanks for the guide, I really had no clue what a drop team did....or really anything else for that matter. I just played follow the leader. lol
I guess for a melee toon, unless you get the dam/acc, there's not much you can do. Especially if you have all your acc and dams maxed. But think outside the box a moment. If you can get, say 3 dam/acc HOs in an attack, do a respec and that way you will 3 extra slots to put on something else. -OR- Use the trash can. Put in your HO, dump the number 4 damage (or whatever) and put in a recharge or something.
I have a lot of choices on my blaster. And can always use a dam/acc or a dam/range and use the extra slot it gives me to put in an end red or another recharge. I was in the tech workroom last night was and was able to two shot a controller down by the head in the TP room thanks to the dam/range I got from Sword. :)
Mez protection is the name of the Hami game. A Mez HAMI SO is sweet when you can drop them in. THis guide didn't cover what to do when Hami spawns in Pocket D...
For the most part, hami raids require a certain level of organization and an exercise in self-cotrol. Knowing when to hit Hami, and when to sit back and let the Holders show their skill is as important as chasing down Mitos and Having a handy healer.
I find a good raid can end with a bang as some of the more bloodthirsty heroes will draw in Giant DE to attack.
Nothing like a Giant DE to ruin a good cape-fest...
On another note for the general silliness of it::
SWORD!!!
This is all good info guys. No, Az, the HO I gave Colder was from another raid I popped in on at the last minute. It's been the same HO drop the last 4 times I've done Hami. I'm just going to hold what I get each time & post it here on the blog to see if I get any takers.
BTW.....CAP!!!!!!!!!!
My mistake--Great Post, Az!! Got too wrapped up looking at the posts from the Cuppathon. LOL
