Villain Busting on Triumph

Was looking over the boards today and there are some player events on Triumph going on late this week. Groups of heroes going into PvP zones and beating the snot out of some villains unlucky enough to be in there. Sounded like fun and being that there's strength in numbers, maybe I can hide behind a tank? :-)

The times/days I can make it are:

Friday March 31st at 6 pm pacific in Siren's
Sat. April 1st - noon pacific all PVP zones

The ZNOD Foundation will be hosting a series of events on Triumph working up to a day of showing those Villains who's in charge. Meet outside the appropriate entrance a few minutes before the events start. Hosts for the events will be on hand to get everything organized.

March 30th, Noon-1:00PM PST Arena Event - Last Man Standing
March 30th, 6:00-7:00PM PST PvP Bloody Bay - Getting to know you and the zone
March 31st, Noon-1:00PM PST Arena Event - Teams
March 31st, 6:00-7:00PM PST PvP Siren's Call - Getting to know you and the zone some more
April 1st, Noon-4:00PM PST PvP Multiple teams in level appropriate zones. Arena events for those who can't enter the PvP zones.

Apparently, from what Colder and Tech have been telling me, Nemesis has been decimating thier heroic efforts and showing them what debt it really all about! Here is a photo of our current most-wanted, taken by Tech-Blade before his most unfortunate and untimely death.

Post-Posi

So it took me two days of recovery in order to talk about the Positron TF ;)

Actually, it was a lot of fun and it was great that 5 out of the 6 members were DB. A special thanks to Mondaag from Alpha Team for joining in on the fun. He must be thinking "I'm in a Coalition with these guys?!?!?"

I'm proud that we pulled it off, considering our team consisted of 4 Scrappers and 2 Blasters. A special MVP shoutout definitely goes to Chaud, whose Recall Friend made us curse our respecs (Travel Power at 14? Screw that!!!) Stealth/Recall were definitely the powers of choice in this TF...those of us who had it definitely sped up an already long TF.

7 and a half hours later (you read that right), we finally got done. Thankfully, some of the mishes in the middle were simply gopher and gave us a nice little break (except for Tech, who had the star and got to play the Courier Archtype....thankfully he had his travel power) The longest snag was the 3rd or 4th mish, where the Circle of Thorns were looking to modernize and move into an office (Thank you for calling the CoT Customer Contact Centre...for ritual sacrifice, press 1....if your ritual sacrifice has run away and you need to order a replacement, press 2....)

It was long but having great company made it all worthwhile. I'm glad we all stuck it out and we got it out of the way. I can only imagine how hard it would be to do Positron on a pick-up team. A special thanks to everyone who made it a blast.

Oh and by the way, DO NOT USE the costume slash command to access the villain wardrobe on CoH. Devs are going to take care of "the problem" and you may just wind up with a corrupt toon (they warn)! Change back quick!!

Great job on the redesign Azzie....your web skills totally rule ;) Suffice it to say, after reading Az's post about how much prestige we're gonna need to lay down our new stuff, I feel like a Scrooge for playing in non-SG mode now and then. Way to guilt me into SG mode :P

Issue 7 should be fun, even though it's Villain-centric. The new base features will be nice and I'm looking forward to the Empowering station the most. The Salvage sharing should be great...I wonder if you can control who in the SG can craft based on rank. It would seem kinda necessary to prevent someone from making things the SG doesn't want. I've unofficailly made myself the Tech Salvage Pirate cause a) Lost Senpai is never on the same time I am and b) I want to craft like crazy

As far as SG action, we had a few pick up groups here and there. Lately, the lvl 40+ gang have been partaking in the weirdness that is Firebase Zulu. It's a cool place and all but man....it has quite the effect on us. It made us all into perverts. All because those phallic shaped monuments. The DB is working blue folks!
Lot's of double entendre's and innuendo.....I love it :P

Numina was a bust last weekend (2nd time I've missed out) but Positron should be a keeper this weekend. I've got some unoffical confirmations from Lost and Afro that they will be showing. Az, Chaud, and I are a given so it should go off without a hitch (damn you respec!!!)

Salvage Me

Alas, the sweet chill of Las Vegas is behind me and the only money I brought home with me was....well, I actually *didn't bring any money home with me. The concert was good, the alcohol was flowing and the company couldn't be better. But back to reality now, and that's not quite as um....good.

Anyhoo, how did the Numina TF go? I was hoping to log in and find our saving account ready to burst into the new plot size. But we ARE getting close though! If you missed it, remember this Saturda, 3/18 we will be running the Positron TF at 11 am PST. This is level 10-16 and starts in Steel Canyon. It should take about 3-5 hours to complete, so get comfy and have beverages at hand!

So since I started rambling on about SG matters, I thought I'd continue on with it. Just so everyone is on the same page and if you didn't know already. We are saving our prestiege to move into a bigger more comfortable dwelling. From there, we will be again saving to put down a few crafted items that have been collecting dust in my personal inventory. We have pushed our generator and our databases as far as they will go at this point, so therefore, if we want to place any more defense items (for our eventual (in a LONG time) foray into raids) or the bigger worktables, we need more power and more control. Our next placement will be the turbine generator I have. That will cost about 1.5 million. Following that, the medium database which costs a little over a million. We should be set for a good while after that. And you wonder why I yell about running in SG mode! JUST DO IT! lmao

As far as salvage and crafting goes, I encourage you to either give magic/mutant salvage to me (Azrhiaz) or science/tech stuff to Lost Senpai. HOWEVER! If you want to take part in building stuff, please do. Keep in mind, if you build any control or power items, they will have to be tech based. Defense items can be anything. If you have built something and wish to place it, please ask before doing so. It costs a lot of money to put items down and if we need to delete it, all your salvage will be lost!

I also recommend that when you combine salvage, you start on the more advanced table first (the bigger one). Currently we only have the small and medium tables down. You can hold a lot more combined salvage also! In the next issue, I hear we will be getting places to store salvage, so that will be nice since some of us are pretty full!

I have heard some say they have built the SG computer, and a freeze turret. If you have built stuff, please list it here if you want to post, or email me and I will post it for you. No sense making duplicates! As I said before, I have a turbine generator and a medium sized database.

Hopefully I will see you on Saturday or before! Run in SG mode! ::nag nag:: If you are worried about not having enough influence for your next upgrade, please contact Azrhiaz or Chaud Woman. We are the sugar mommas of the group and would love to help you out.

Flava Flav = The One True Nemesis

First off, I'd like to say get well soon to Chaud :) My sexy legs and I are pulling for ya ;)

So the ol'SG got some AV action last night. Tech had a team running when I jumped on so of course I leeched my way into the team. Chaud was on her alt Chynna (Illu/Emp Controlleer) and Az eventually joined us with her alt Lumeir. We also had Elitess (Claws/Regen Scrapper) join us from the SG, who is a good friend of mine irl. We ran a few Nemesis mishes which of course led us to Nemesis Rex. I honestly don't know what to make of this guy. He has this whole steampunk/techo/Mr. Freeze ala Batman and Robin thing going on. I don't know....I just can't this guy seriously. Plus he has this huge staff with a gear on it that spins. I kind of wish it was a giant clock instead...he could have a whole Flava Flav thing going on which would be much more entertaining (Issue 8 anyone)?

We had a little trouble with him at first, mainly cuz his minions were picking us off and we were kind of in a state of disarray. He has his uber Force Bolt move that does splash damage as well (is that power 20-slotted for damage or something?), so it wasn't a good idea to stand next to any teammates (that and the burning contempt I have for each and every one of them :)

Poor Lumeir got floored during the fight and went to the hosp. Low and behold our gravity and ice holds starting taking effect and we were able to lock him down. Lumeir was coming back as fast as she could in order to get the AV bonus. Unfortunately, the group couldn't wait for her cause Nemmy has sick regen. I tried my best to stall by only using my holds on him but alas he crumbled under our assault. At least she got the mish bonus cause it was based on glowies.

The group pretty much split after that, with Azzie sticking around to make a dent in my hunt mish. They're annoying to say the least. Sometimes I wish I could just talk to the contact and say, "Listen sport, why don't you bring them to me and I'll kick their ass. HBO man...help a brother out..." But of course the contacts are not that considerate (they're even stingy with their cell numbers...must be a daytime minute thing) even though us heroes possess the powers of a Middle Eastern deity (Bitch, I just FROZE A HUMAN BEING!!!) I think the mish system needs to be re-evaluated :P

On a final and frustrating note, I swapped out my fiery aura for the vapor aura.....damn, what mistake. It looks cool and all but when you fly, the aura flashes and blinks like mad. I'm talking epileptic inducing, killing-Japanese-school-children blinks. I thought I was flying into a New Year's Eve rave. So now I gotta use another one of my free tailor sessions to change the damn thing. I think it's angry email time to NC support :P

Elvis is in Paragon City?

So Azrhiaz and I formed a quick pick up team last night, looking to lay some smacks on some villains in Paragon City. She was on her alt Lumeir (Earth/Storm Controller) and I was on...well, come on...who else do I use on the hero side?!?! :P

We were quickly joined by Blind Justice, a rookie member (or Collector in our terms :) that Az had invited a few days prior. Nice guy and he seems to be a good fit (read: silly sense of humor and ready to make fun of his peers at a drop of a hat)

Being lvl 41 and both of them lvl 15, I searched for a another peep in order to balance out the sk's. Low and behold I get a lvl 41 Scrapper named Impersonator. Turns out his gimmick is that he's an Elvis impersonator. Seems like a benign concept...but like a tumor it has the possibility of killing you. This guy had key binds set up filled with Elvis comments towards the enemies, like "Rikti Drone is all shook up." Needless to say, after having 15 different variations of this drivel polluting my chat log, I started to wonder if there was an emote for blowing your f'n brains out (Issue 8 anyone?)

So while Lumier and I were quietly sobbing to ourselves via Tells, we hooked up with Tech-Blade (Katana/Regen Scrapper) from the SG. His lovely wife Chaud Woman wasn't feeling well
:( so he was flying solo. We got done the mish and because their is a Just and Holy God, Elvis left the building. Granted, he was about two annoying key binds away from being thrown from the roof of said building.

Anyhoo, we ran another mish and called it a night. There's nothing like running an all SG pick up team. That doesn't happen very often but it's great when it does. Lot's of playful jabs at each other, like Az chewing me out for not playing in SG mode (5 million influence is not enough!!) to her being a Prestige Pirate (5 mill is enough influence Colder!!) Good times!
