Cathedral of Pain on test & I8 Veteran Previews

That's right folks, Items of Power are coming closer and closer! Been reading on the boards that it really isn't terribly hard. You fight an AV with a PFF which you can take down by defeating these obelisk thingies and his minions. Fusion Force was able to finish the trial in 14 minutes with 2 teams of 7. They were awarded the Debt Recovery IoP (you burn off debt quicker in sg mode). Max amount of people allowed in the trial is 20 and it appears you can bring non-SG members with you.

If someone has a SuperGroup Computer could you place it in the control room? I had to delete the last one cause there was no where to store it when I bought the upgraded room.

Heal farm is close to success I think. Our status bar disappeared however so I can't track it anymore (I contacted support and they say the bar disappearing is a bug but it will still be tracking). We should be REALLY close to badge #2 at this point! Thanks to Chaud, Sword and Tech for helping with this!! Melqar has a red crystal mish on Villains if we want to do the same over there. Anyone have or want to roll a healing corrupter? :)

And here is a letter from ol' Positron about upcoming changes where he mentions I9 and I10.

Scroll to the bottom of this page for the veteran previews.

That soup was delicious!!!

Mmmm...nothing like Alphadebt Soup!!!

Great raid everyone. It was a blast as always and I have to really commend everyone on the great turnout!! We had the max of 16 so sorry to those who wanted to raid but were too late (I think Tribal Age was the only one...not sure).

Of course, mad props to Alpha Team for letting us go in and trash their place for awhile...nice job on the layout and hiding of the anchors you magnificiently sneaky bastards :P

For the record, we did manage to snag 3 of them so a pat on the back to everyone who took part.

Our strategy went off pretty well (we did get 3 anchors after all). I think we all definitely learned a lot from the experience and we'll be definitely fine-tuning our strats for the next one (Read: KILL BUBBLER...KILL BUBBLER...GET THIS DAMN BUBBLER OFF OF ME!!!)

A special thanks to Azzie for organizing said strategy!

Ventrilo was a great asset for the Raid so I implore anyone who wishes to raid with the SG on a regular basis to go get it. Right now, Az is kind of enough to pick up the tab on the server so all you need to do is get a headset!!! Come listen to the sexy stylins' of The Debt Brigade!!!

If anyone on the blog took some picks, please feel free to send them to Az or myself and we will put them up asap. We need a visual record of using beating down Alpha Team :P

However, I will not post the pic of me and what I did to their conference table (don't sit at the head seat!!! :)

What's next for the SG? How about an Areana event? No anchors...no searching...just an all out brawl that lets you boil in your own contempt for your fellow man.

Sounds fun doesn't it :P

Grats to Elite on high score this time out!

Gonna make some AlphaDebt Soup!

Tomorrow is raid day all! Hope you are all ready for death, bubbles and a fun, fun time! Oh and my cursing of course! Please meet in the base around 3:30 pm pacific for the briefing before the event. If you have time, load up the storage with breaks. Not sure if we can use it, but better to be prepared in any event.

Halloween up on test. I haven't bothered to go look, but this is what's been said about it on the board.

1. There's some expository backstory, incursion of dark forces upon our plane of existence, blah, blah, blah.

2. Dark all the time.

3. Trick or Treat Event: Click on doors (any graphical thing that could be an entrance to a mission). Half the time you get a treat (inspiration, salvage drop, or rock temp power); half the time you get a trick (a foe spawn of spooky characters). (you must be in a level appropriate zone for doors. ex. a 50 needs to be in pi)

4. Event badges for 'kill x' special spooky spawns and Giant Monsters.

5. Unlock a fifth costume slot. Event salvage can be turned into a Halloween contact for that fifth slot.

6. Carnie Strong Men smash the pumpkins you leave outside your base entrance.

New Patch Drops on Live & Wings Preview

The last patch before Issue 8 is out has finally hit the live servers! You can now drop missions that you don't want to do and get credit for them. Good-bye "Defeat 40 Rikti in the Abandoned Sewer Network"! You can drop a mission once every 7 days by calling your contact and selecting the option.

Check out the new Wings Veteran Rewards! Available in demon or angel styles.

Respecs are in the plenty. Azrhiaz has relinquished her Electric Epic for Force. Personal Force Field stood tough against Scirocco and Ghost Widow in RV. Though Cap couldn't resist punching him in the nose a few times (and paying with his life for it! lol). Chynna and Lumeir also had a good time on test in the arena though it makes for a funny fight when both opponents are held for most of it. A big thank you to Magnan for testing my builds over there with me!

I'll stay in my bubble thanks, safe from AVs and puns

We've also been dallying a little on the Justice server with a silly SG named Ill-Mannered. Just for shits and giggles we created new goofy toons with rude phrases for names.

Eat Dung (Deep), What the? (Cap), Shut-Up (Azrhiaz), Couldn't Tell Ya (Minx),
Hush It (Chaud) and What R U Looking At (Tech)

We were also later joined by As If (Sword), Bite - Me (Chica) and a few other of our friends in Alpha for the silliness.

The raid is coming up! We currently have 10 confirmed with about 8 "will try". Instaraids are limited to 16 so RSVP if you haven't already. If you need the Raid Briefing email, please send a tell to @Azrhiaz with your real life email address.

InstaRaid on Alpha Team!

Alphas Leading the Way. . . Chin First

Contrary to popular opinion, there have been no PLing of bubblers. However, that will not stop the InstaRaid on Alpha Team on Sunday September 24th at 4 pm Pacific. Let the Battle Royale begin again!

Trying to get a headcount so please RSVP and let us know if you can make it.

Prestiege, Influence and Other Good Stuff

Heal farm: a bust. At 8 am I awoke to find only Chynna and Sword still in the mission. The rest of us had been DCed. How annoying.

Well since Lost doesn't want to give his secrets away, I thought I'd do it for him. Here is a "guide" gleaned from many sources.

The Overview:
Influence is the currency in which toons outfit themselves with enhancements to better their powers and purchase new costumes. Typically, one will need around 700k to buy their first round of SOs at 22. At 47, you will need around 5 million to get your level 50 SOs.

Prestiege is the currency in which Supergroups use to outfit their base. Members need to be in SG mode (click super --> enter sg mode) to earn prestiege. You will earn normal influence and prestiege up until you reach level 25. At which point your influence will start to drop 10% a level until at level 34 you will no longer make a dime of it and only make prestiege.

Acquiring Influence: Most people say not to bother with TOs at all. Don't slot 'em, sell 'em. All of them. Some people say don't even bother with DOs. I am currently of a mindset that I will only use what I pick up along the way and not buy anything until level 22. With this method, I was able to completely outfit Ahne Toreph with SOs without an influence gift from anyone.

Oh and sell all your enhancements to the proper store (science enhancements to the science store, etc.) and if you can get to Talos, they give the best prices. You can make a couple extra grand by just selling at the proper store, and in Talos. Believe me, it's worth the trip and the time! Don't sell in Croatoa! Those cheap bastards!! lol

Also if you have no use for the larger inspirations, sell them at the Tree of Wonders in the Infirmary. A large awake can net you 10,000 influence. If you have extra blues or greens, sell them back to the Tree at 25 each.

Acquiring Prestiege: You all know the battle cry! "You better be in SG mode, dammit!"

The best way to earn prestiege at an accelerated rate is to hunt in PvP zones. Sure Rikti Portals are fabulous, but a spirit mask in Bloody Bay is half the time, half the risk and as much prestiege typically. According to Junkyard Dog of the Injustice Legion, (see his post here) he has never left SG mode, has never been strapped for cash all because he hunts in PvP zones where he will earn more prestiege and get more enhancement drops (more drops = more money) than anywhere else. You also typically get better salvage. So he is top prestiege winner by a long shot and has no money issues. Who knew there was such a thing?!

It is also my theory that once the level 50 content comes out, you will find yourself needing badges from PvP zones to access some of the "upgrades". All the villain accolades require a trip to these zones (example: the Born in Battle accolade (5% to health and end) requires the 5 hours in Siren's badge) so it is only logical for the devs to impose this on heroes to get them to spend time in there as well.

Hopefully this is helpful. If anyone else has and tips or tricks, post 'em in the comment section!

CoV mish invite and introducing our newest healer...

Mercy Mercy kindly invites you to two fun CoV missions. No badges, no bells, no whistles, just two lvl 20 mishes that are a lot of fun. Warn Ghost Widow and Break Prisoners Out of the Zig. I am open to times, I am on EST and prefer evenings. Those interested let me know and we will work out the times.

On the CoH side...say hello to our newest epath/radiation Defender...

Next Patch

Nope, still no job yet.

On the test server is the next patch. Mostly dealing with the new Mission Dropping feature it seems. Patch notes are here. At least I'll get to see my tornado again!

Heal badge farming tonight and on the weekend! Join us in leaving your toon in a mission next to a red crystal overnight and getting badges while you sleep! Tonight around 11 pm Pacific (tenative) we will be going into Sword's CoT cave mission and camping out to earn the SG heal badges. You might even get a damage badge out of it!

Fun with Family!

Bored with the same old same old missions?? Tired of killing villain after villain? Why not have some fun with family!! Sword and I spent the whole day on her Uni story arc, we were on the trail of her nice CoT crystal mission. It was getting late in the afternoon (evening for Sword!), we had been at these missions since 8 a.m., when we entered the zone containing family. Both of us were tired, I had been bubbling and Sword had been doing all of the "arresting". When we discovered an exciting new sport...Family wall art!

It all began with this one family, who got in this odd position in the wall barrier. Maybe it was the long hours on CoH, maybe it was his head sticking out the other side, maybe Sword and I need to get out more, but this struck us as extremely funny.

That's when the fun began, it was time for these villains to fly. Ü Armed with our knockback powers we began smacking those family against the wall, literally! Higher and higher, in the weirdest positions....whee this was fun! All in all a successful mission with a lot of laughter! So the next time you find your self in a hero rut, remember Family + mission barriers = fun!! Ü

Paragon Defense Corps at Hami Raid!

A moment of triumph and glory as a few of the best of PDC's heroes gathered to savor their well earned HOs. For me, a rare moment to grab a screenshot with my Mentor Deep Fryd. Its all to rare to have so many of us active at the same time, so I wanted to remember the moment

Trashing the Alpha House

POSTPONED

Chica, Mon, we're coming to get ya! :-)

Mondaag and I were talking about DB returning Alpha's favor and he thought perhaps Saturday night 9/16 at 8 pm Pacific, might be a good time. So I'm putting it out there to see who can attend!

Congrats on the brand new secure control room we now have. We'll be able to put a weapon in it. Lost was kind enough to make us an Elite Chain Gun, so that will soon be sitting there purring away. Next goal is a secure energy room. 3 million presteige with the ability to have 2 weapons. Good work all. And welcome to the new toons that have an interest in doing the raiding fun!

Tech-Blade is trying to work through his Tyrant arc on Maria Jenkins so we can all happily stand in the lava and earn heal/damage taken badges. We'll keep you updated on when this might happen.

SG Healing Badges

I have recently learned that the remaining SG healing badges are these:

# 2 Robo-Surgery - heal 25 million in SG mode. Robo Surgery allows you to attach auxilleries to the rez station for a better rez.

#3 Combat Logs - heal 100 million in SG mode - allows you to buy break frees in base.

Most of the people on the boards who had these badges had farmed for them. How sad. Typically, they got a CoT mission with a red crystal in it and parked the biggest team they could find (with controller pets if possible) and just left the defender(s) on auto heal. Overnight. Do we want to do this?

Upset of the Year

em victory

It's near midnight. I'm about to log and send a good-bye tell to Deep. And you know what he always does: challenges you to an arena match when you are one eyelash drop short of falling asleep. Being on my earth/storm controller, Lumeir, who I haven't done too much PvP with and having been recently "controlled" to annoyance in the InstaRaid, I thought it might be a good test of her holding powers. Deep --on his scrapper-- doesn't think it'd be fair, but since it's only practice, I agree to the match. I might not be able to defeat him, but maybe I can stay alive?

WRONG!

Not only did I stay alive for the entire 10 minutes, but I pwned Half-Inch Bicep three times! You wanna superspeed around? Mmm no, I don't think so! Splat down some quicksand and attach a snowstorm to slow his powers and movement. Think you are gonna get close to me?! HA! Gonna hurricane your ass, buddy! So with the lightning storm and the tornado a-flying, Half-Inch soon found himself held in a fossil with ice raining down and Stoney beating the tar out of him. Deep falls at my feet in utter defeat.

I think we were both shocked. And me? Well, simply delighted!

The only controller to ever beat the illustrious Half-Inch Bicep! Three times in a row! Boo YA!

The Little People

They are usually pretty helpless and are always getting in to trouble, but the citizens of Paragon City and the Rogue Isles, *do watch the news. The following is a list of what information they give:

There are 7 different types of citizen NPCs in the game that give specific information depending on the letter their names start with (as in E in Ethel):

E - Official Real Time (based upon where Cryptic is located)

F - Official Paragon City Time (in-game time)

G - Number of heroes/villains in the current zone you are in

H - Lists random names of other heroes/villains in current zone

M - Gives total time played, for current hero/villain, since hero/villain creation

N - Number of times you've logged into the game with current hero/villain

O - How long you've been logged in today with current hero (resets after every indoor mission)

J - gives statistics on how many times you've used a power today.

K - gives statistics on how much damage you have dealt with your powers today.

Meg's Base Raid Recap!

Chapter 1

So, there we were.... waiting. The Brigade assembled, armed and ready. And waiting. Az had firm control on Vent, and the rest of us were relaying orders via the SG chat. And waiting. We made a few sorties to make sure Alpha hadn't bounced in in a back hallway somewhere. And waited.

ADD, who me? Nah. Well, maybe..

Suddenly the chill cannon opened fire and the game was afoot! A flood of black and gold uniforms appeared the hallway just off the teleport bay. I hefted my mace and charged in howling...

FWOOOOP!

Hey! How'd I get stuck against the wall? Why did it suddenly get sparkly in here? Oh HELL! They had a bubbler! Thus began a long, no quarter, hammer and tongs, bare-knuckle street fight. And we were already outnumbered with our backs (literally) to the walls.

Chapter 2

The first lesson so handily given to me in the base raid was the experience of a tether ball game from the veiw point of the ball. I'd sprint up, trying to keep the Alphas from smashing the chill cannon, get within a few paces and be summarily booted back to my corner, like the class clown being sent to detention. Bad tank, bad! No cookie for you!

To make matters worse, the Alphas had split us with the Dispersion Bubble. Half of us pinned in the teleport bay and the rest unable to close for support. A grim opening indeed. Lt. Rage came over to introduce himself to me and I looked forward to introducing him to my mace when...

FWOOOP!

Hello again wall, we need to stop meeting like this. People will talk.

Rage closed with me. I made a single swing and discovered a fencepost sticking out of my chest. Chica had joined the Lt. Ok, I'm tank; I can take it. But when two other Alphas showed up to play " Squish the Midget" I was reaching the limits of my durability. I then had the small pleasure of introducing them to the wonders of Hibernate. For 30 seconds they used me as a speed bag. I returned the favor by dropping the Hibernate and used them as a pit stop with Energy Absorbtion. Ahhh, lovely endurance.

Just then, a spark of hope! Someone got in a lucky shot and the bubbler was stunned! The Dispersion Field dropped and we a had a clear shot the remainder of the Alphas who has been rummaging through the base looking for the anchors. I hit Chilling Embrace, Icicles and charged in, Taunting my tiny little head off, hoping that I would take the hits and allow my team to do some damage. Yes! Chynna gets in some solid blows and the Bubbler goes down! The tide has turned, we have snatched Victory from the jaws of Defeat, we...

FWOOOOP!

Hello wall, my old friend. Fancy meeting you again.

They had a spare.

Oy.

Chapter 3

Things looked dire for the home team. Even with the home field advantage, we were getting stomped like a narc at a biker rally. Our taste of victory had been fleeting, the Alphas had a second bubbler.

The conflict began to blur to this poor tanks eyes, things were happening at a thick and furious pace. Colder dashing back and forth, leaving ice slicks in his wake. Slasheery would bolt into the fray for a furious assualt on a distracted Alpha, Baba would summon a Singularity in the middle of the Alpha's lines and cause chaos in an already frantic scene.

Meanwhile, on Ventrilio, there was an unusual display going on. Our Dear Leader, whom we all Adore and Obey, was showing an heretofore undiscovered talent for verbal profanity. In the words of Sam Jackson; "Damn! You go into a bar and ten minutes later sailors come running out!" I can only offer the following advice; do not anger our Dear and Glorious Leader unless you wish to hear a blistering display of verbal barrages that will peel paint, cause cows to give sour milk and have the birds drop from the skies dead to the last.

And of course, there was the periodic reminder of our aggravation:

FWOOOOOP!

Lord, please forgive me for all the nasty things I thought about the bubblers that night, because Az went and said them all anyway, so go punish her first.

I wish I could say that I witnessed the decisive point that turned the tide but sadly I was too busy trying to keep my graphics card from throwing in the towel and moving to Mexico. I saw several Alphas making a concerted effort to smash the Anchor in the teleport bay and I made a mad dash to try and knock one of them off our big stone head. I jumped up and tried draining endurance like Lindsay Lohan after some hooch at an open bar but was summarily shot off the top from somewhere behind me.

Then Lt. Rage called Time.

Wow.

Things slowly wound down. The ice and the taunts quit flying, fears were no longer cast, the bubblers slowly put their shiny globes of frustration away (thankyouthankyouthankyou) and the dust finally settled.

The Alphas had called it. Through sheer determination, we had overcome!

To my admiration, there was a solid show of good sportsmanship all around. In my opinion, this was the best part of the whole Raid, the solid show of fun and camraderie at the end.

I would like to say that this was, without exception, the most fun I've had in CoH in a long time. My hat is off to Az for organizing the event and a mighty thank you to Lt. RAge and the other Alphas who participated and were complete professionals about the whole thing.

I look forward to the next one with much anticipation.

Until next time, your humble Ice/mace chronicler bids you good hunting. :)

Meg

Battle Weary but WE WON!

Oh boy. I am EXHAUSTED. Super, great, excellent job on the InstaRaid everyone!! You make this grand poo bah very proud! Did anyone get a picture of the stat list? I only got the bottom half. ::pout:: You all KNOW I wanted to frame the picture of my high score in the lobby area! I'm sure Baba has some good screenies. That's why he dies so much. He's always taking pictures! ::grin:: I think we did very well frankly. Especially being outnumbered. Taunted like crazy. Feared like no one's business. And pushed by stupid, fracking bubbles to the ends of the earth! ::curse::

For those not there, we won the instaraid. They only destroyed our elite chill cannon, a sensor array (for the elite energy beam), and one dimensional anchor (out of 6). And I believe they only found 2 of them. ::evil snicker:: All is restored however, since InstaRaids are only practice sessions. Damn good for an hour's worth of PvP, I'd say. I honestly enjoyed myself a lot more than I thought I would.

I'd like to take the time to thank and express my gratitude to Lt. Rage and Alpha Team for joining us. I'm also sorry our chill cannon went off before we were ready to begin but you trashed it before I could even get to see it work, so I guess we are even. :) Have fun looking for the anchors now that our coalitions are allowed back in the base. ::grin::

A few notes on durability of base items. As I mentioned on Vent (to those who have it -- get it, to those who don't), when real scheduled raids go live, we will have a good chance to have everything restored. We will attach a Flame of Hephestus/Robotic Fabrictor to all 6 of the worktables. For the elite weapons, they each have their own resurrector. So if worse comes to worse, we lose an IoP and not much else. In theory anyway. Biggest challenge again, is prestiege and resources. Those third tier tables are costly and suck a lot of control. And with 600k for all those auxilliaries. Sigh.

We might have to get rid of Lucifer. Other than being very handsome, he kinda, well, sucks. I have an elite analyzer which will drop the def/resist of all attackers. Or we can do the Faathim TF again and gain access to the Rikti Plasma Gun which shoots for a whopping 250 pts of damage. For that we need to beat Rularuu the Mad 5 times. I think we have 3 times already in the can (if everyone was in sg mode when they did it). But I also heard there was a new patch and those times might not have counted.

Oh Lord, I'm babbling. Time to sleep. Gimme some favorite raid moments in the comments. And no, you can't talk about my cursing. ::grin:: And Colder, I hope you aren't dragging too much at work today. Muah.

First Timer's Guide to Hamidon Raids

I found this guide to Hamidon Raids on the board. A very good read if you are new to them or a little unsure what exactly is going on.

Click here for it. I have also listed it on the right column links for easy reference later.

Nemesis and The fine Madame Handed Over to Justice by the Debt Brigade!

One good deed leads to another. Kicking off the long Labor Day Weekend, the Debt Brigaders had a random smattering of good times. The pics from Bloody were from last weeks adopt-a-shiv Sunday, which turned out to be a blessing. Facing Nemesis and then the incredibly resilient Madam, the pets were out in force. Debt Brigade prevailed thanks to Tech Blade bringing in some serious lumbar to lay the smack down. Well the weekend is young, see you in the trenches DB'ers.

Cuppa Good Time at the Cuppathon pt. 4

So after being announced on w00t radio, I was a sort of famous. Sort of. The title over my big head helped make sure people knew I stood out.

I was getting spammed with tells, most people thought I was a Dev! If you hear some off rumors about issue 8, it may be my fault. So after the costume contest, a few spawns occured, the most bizarre being Hamidon showing up in Pocket D 7! He just hung out getting hammered and the the story went Positron unlocked him and he started spawning Mitos! It was a blood bath. Manticore had to go in there and put him in his place. After the Hamidon incident, Manticore showed up In PD 1 and began giving EVERYONE a temp title. It was quite fun (and a relief for me lol, no more spams).

Sword's title was cool.

The rest of the evening was full of socializing and "look for the Dev" as they were running around the zones and hiding. If you found them, you won a prize.
Lord Recluse popped in and told everyone now that CuppaJo is out of CoX, he would own the forum boards.

The night capped of for me after the DOOM costume contest winner was announced, Ghost of Statesman won. He was pretty cool. Sword found him and got a nice pic.

Big thanks to all who hung with me throughout the day. Sword was my entourage after all the fame got to me, but now I am just plain old Baba again. Well I am off to spend the day with my daughter, it is her 124th B-day. Woot 4 more years! Eeerr I mean cya all later.

Cuppa Good Time at the Cuppathon pt. 3

The saga continues...So everyone rushed around and we got into costume for the CuppaJo costume themed contest. Metoid went for the "wired on too much coffee" theme.

Az went for the Starbucks theme. Me? I was just a spoon. But it must have been a nice spoon, as CuppaJester saw me and proclaimed I was definitely in the finals.
So after a few minutes pass, I am suddenly ported away to the Paragon Dance Party club! Along with all the other costume finalists we got viewed and reviewed. Jester was giving a play-by-play of the red (eer dingy) carpet fashion affair over the air on w00t radio. Many special guests were there to judge.
When it was all over a was a runner-up, the winner being Cuppa T, a Mr T themed toon. HIL A RIOUS. I won a bumper sticker and a temporary title from Manticore. Best prize was we got to hang with all the guests of honor for a half an hour or so.

Weekend Events

Sword and Az shaking their moneymakers

This is what's onboard for the SG and family members!

Sunday! Positron TF @ 4 pm Pacific hosted by Chica Vaga.
Sunday! InstaRaid with Alpha Team! 8 pm. We need a team of 8. This is a practice session, so keep in mind this is all about experimentation with our friends in Alpha to see how we both fare in Raids and to have fun!! (in other words, as in all PvP events, expect and enjoy dying) So far we have Lumeir, Lost Senpai, Chynna, Megeara (welcome to the blog btw), Jace 'Aracil, and possible Tech-Blade. Please post if you would like to join us!
Monday! 8 pm Pacific Ice Minstral SF lvl 35-40 Villains Happy Labor Day!

Anyway, I won't go into much detail about the Cuppathon so Baba can go to town on his own, but Sword and I helped take out Lord Recluse and Black Scorpion in RV. I chased CuppaJo into the various Pocket D's to get into the costume contest that started earlier than anticipated. But I made it to the lineup to showoff my Starbucks Barista wear!

Ventrilo server is up! Download the client at Ventrilo.com Then send a tell to @azrhiaz and I'll give the specifics for our server and all that good stuff.

Cuppa Good Time at the Cuppathon pt. 2

So the the first event was Arena matches hosted by CuppaJo, CuppaJester, and Cricket. I jumped in a match with Cricket and tried to save her. Tried.

After an hour or so in the Arena, it was time for the big grown up Heroes and Villians to hit the streets of Atlas in RV. Again, the appreances were amazing. Manticore showed up not as a Hero spawn, but as a player. Metoid had a good time talking with him.

After the usual back and forth battles in RV, everyone headed back to Pocket D. Or one of the 7 (!!!!) instances of it. There were numerous events left in the day, to include the CuppaJo inspired costume contest. Feeling the need to be competative, I decided to make a toon for this event. CuppaJester (pictured here) was among the initial screeners going through all 7 Pcoket Ds.

I made a toon and like a dufus hit the tutorial and then had to fly through that (THANK YOU PRESTIGE POWER SLIDE) in order to try and make it to the judging. I ran into Az and Sword as the costumed event was getting rolling. I opted for something a bit out of the ordinary, knowing there would be a 100 coffee jokes. What cup of joe doesn't need a spoon if you are going to mix in all the extras? Thus the birth of Cuppa's SPOON.

Cuppa Good Time at the Cuppathon pt. 1

WOOT! What a day. Cuppathon was a 12 hour City of...fest and perhaps my most favorite event of them all since I joined CoX in Aug of last year. There were no special in-game prizes, like at Christmas with the presents, but w00t radio was webcasting the event using Team Speak and X Fire. They were giving out prizes for various events such as hats, t-shirts, life size CoV capes, and numerous other prizes. Music was great (or at least to my tastes) and it was fun watching the event and hearing CuppaJo and CuppaJester (w00t radio DJ) chat about it as it unfolded. The day started offwith CuppaJo making her appearance and kicking off the party in style. To see the pics even larger in size, click them.

NCSoft's Cricket showed up and after a modest request she gave a shout out to the Debt Brigade.

Please note the smoothness in which I saddled up to GW.

Of course when Ghost Widow popped in and the place started rocking, I had asked her why she was so harsh to me in RV. She just smiled and said, well, refer to the pics. The day was young and the events were just starting to unfold.
