Stuff

Am I the only one who ever posts in here?! Okay, maybe I'm just the only one with no life, or too much time on my hands (don't I wish!)

While waiting for shots to render on my computer, I took a little time to visit the boards today. And the following is what I've learned:

1) Task Force Commander Accolade Adds 5% to Health Points
This badge does not have anything to do with having led a TF. In order to get it, you need to have done the following TFs:

Positron, Synapse, Sister Psyche, Manticore, Citadel and Numina

So if there are some you are missing (Colder) You will not get the accolade. Please post which ones you need and we will schedule them again.

2) Base Rent
If you pay it before it is due, the timer resets and we will end up paying it twice in a month. Therefore, the "Pay Rent" setting will be changed in the SG settings to only Sargeants and Grand Poo Bahs. Please DO NOT pay the rent until the day it is due!! We have a 2 week grace period until they turn the power off, so pay it after the due date if you want. Do not pay it early!

3) Today's Patch Notes New patch installs on the game today!
Read it here. I think they are fixing your skirt, Chaud! :)

The Legend of Ruladak

The Amazing Afrodiety and the Legendary Lumeir

First off, congrats to Tech-Blade, Afrodiety, Chynna, and Baba Kanoosh on reaching level 50! Woot!

Secondly Sara Moore Taskforce on Saturday 6/3 at Noon Pacific (11 am for you Cap). Levels 40-50. We need a full team of 8 so bring all your friends! She is located in Cascade Archipelago so we can meet just inside the Zulu gate. Lots of Rularuu so bring breaks. Should take approximately 4-6 hours.

StrikeForce!

Axcellis (claw/SR stalker)

Well, we are getting low on TFs we have not done on City of Heroes. Baba suggested a lowbie one, but I am not doing the Positron one EVER AGAIN!! lol! I thought perhaps we could do a couple of the StrikeForces on CoV since most of us don't spend much time there and our Death Brigade base is small and pathetic. ::grin::

There is one in Cap au Diablo for levels 15-20 (6 mishes) and one in Sharkhead for level 25-31 (12 mishes) I have toons available for either, if you are interested.

Or we could perhaps do one of the big TFs on CoH. I hear they really don't take a lot longer than the regular ones. We could split it up over 2 nights during the week maybe?

On the boards I was reading about the Lord Recluse SF and the devs bragging about how hard it was. So hard in fact, that the first team on test to complete it would get a free year subscription. Hmmm.... Not sure I'd want to get involved with that one even if I *had a lvl 45 villain. Eeeek!

Woot!

Big shout out's to the DB'ers that helped me along the way to 50. Final hurdle was cleared with help of Sword of Artemis who took sympathy on my poor slow leveling soul. Be on the look out for Debt Brigade's newest Peacebringer, Forty-six and Two.

Auto lvl to 40!!!

Just an fyi...I'm sure most of you know this and have already enjoyed some high lvl villainy and or heroism. All you altaholics will be happy with this!!!

Recluses' Victory Event on Test

Also, here's a pretty cool survey you can take about CoX...all in the name of higher education!

Terra ReVolta Development!

The Debt Brigade saves Paragon City again! We got word that the Rikti were planning on making everyone glow green so we saddled up and gave ol' E.T. a fistful of debt.

Azzie really need the respec during with the last respec, she made herself Cavern friendly. Talk about taking one for the team! She didn't even have Fly until lvl 32 or something :P

The Respec trials are pretty short and they yield great XP. The bonus is very nice at the end :D I think I got about 78k of xp for going with the bonus. I can almost smell the Warshade (please don't take that out of context!)

Everything went smoothly. We had some DB and some friends of ours. Only two people in the group were "pick-up" but they were nice and didn't use any annoying puns :P

A great job by everyone. MVP goes to Baba and his great holds!!! Tank Schmank when Babs is around!

Debt Brigade Saves Statesman!

As usual, TDB swoops in to save the day! With a tip from the lovely Sword of Artemis, we discovered the secret underground layer of the evil Tyrant. Statesman was so happy to see us he nearly cried. And he fawned over coalition member Chica Vaga, following her wherever she went! He is a man smitten! After Baba Kanoosh saved him, you'd think he'd be more careful.

And I had no idea every screencapture you took got saved in a folder in City of Heroes without all the trays and names! Woot!

Just a reminder, level 44 Respec on Sunday 5/21 at 1:30 pm Pacific. Meet in the Rikti Crash Site. Current goal in base is to have all 6 worktables down. We'll need more dababases to run them. Approximate cost for all will be 500k. That's cheap compared to everything else! lol When IS i7 coming out, dammit?

The Terrible Mr. G

Apparently someone got real tired of hearing their co-worker playing "Counterstrike" on his breaks. So he mic-ed his desk and the following is what he edited together! I'm glad our TFs don't go this badly! lol Very funny, but make sure you put headphones on if there are little ones around.

It takes a minute or two to load, but hey, on CoV, we're used to that....(don't forget to press Play)

I7 Empowerment Stations

Today's been a dull at work, so I've been looking at the boards now and again to see what's new. I was reading up on the Empowerment Stations and was disappointed to learn, they are about as ridiculous as everything else related to SG base building.

Empowerment stations (available in tech and arcane) enable people to cash in combined salvage to get buffs. There are 3 tiers of stations. Buffs last for 15 minutes. And while this might help you take care of that AV a little easier, look, for example, at some of the recipe requirements.

Confuse Resistance:
Mystic Element: 5
Mystic Foci: 7

Tech Material: 5
Tech Power: 7

Fear Resistance:
Mystic Element: 5
Mystic Foci: 4

Tech Material: 5
Tech Power: 4

Fire Resistance:
Mystic Element: 5
Mystic Foci: 7

Tech Material: 5
Tech Power: 7

Grant Invisibility:
Mystic Foci: 31
Arcane Essence: 2
Arcane Glyph: 6

Tech Power: 31
Tech Hardware: 2
Tech Prototype: 6

Having collected salvage since bases came to exist, I doubt I could even make one of these. And the worst part is you can't make and then use it like an inspiration when you want to. As soon as you make it, the countdown begins. Bleck. 31 Focis or Powers? Sheesh!

Here is a post with most of the first tier recipes

44 Respec Sunday! 1:30 pm Pacific

Being that I will have Sundays off from here on out! (woot!) I thought we'd schedule a TF (since we missed one this past Saturday) 1:30 PM Pacific (12:30 PM Alaska, Cap)

Level 44 Respec. Meet in Rikti Crash Site and bring a lot of breaks!!! We are saving Terra Volta from the Rikti!

Congrats and thank you to everyone who helped with earning the prestiege for the Turbine Generator! It's finally in place and we have plenty of power to last a while now! Which is a good thing since the storage dispensers will soon be with us!

E3 Party

Well one of the best parts of living in Los Angeles is that a lot of stuff happens here. As part of the E3 Video Game Trade Show, NCSoft is throwing a party down in Mission Viejo (about an hour from me I think). So I decided to be brave (and risk being permanantly labeled a geek) and to meet up with SoulBleeder/Lil' Pain/ILLusional/Deep Fryd/etc/etc down there. If worse comes to worse, we can always leave and he can drink me under the table somewhere. :)

"Positron" is going to be in attendence so I plan on giving him a good kick to the cajones and say "That's for the 7 hour taskforce, Biatch!" lol Or maybe I'll just volunteer to be a new costume designer for the game! :) "You need more HAIR dammit!"

So no TaskForce pour moi this weekend. It'll give you a chance to catch up with me! lol. Try Manticore, his was decent. Mid 30s I think.

We are very close to getting the Turbine Generator down. Woot!

It's Mayhem Time!!

Time to get crazy in Atlas! Blow up stuff, kill police and terrorize citizens. Mua ha ha ha!!! You puny heroes can't stop us! Finally, a mayhem mission came my way....I took another villain and we set to town. 15 mins. to rob a bank in Atlas, no sweat! We entered the town and started looking for something to blow up, right in front of me were some parking meters...took those out! Some wimpy Atlas police were there, no problem for some brutes, ching ching extra time bonus for us! Those idiots the Longbow tried to stop us...but we barreled right through..more time! Hit the bank, easy as taking candy from a baby...yea some hero showed up, but she went down, when will they learn can't beat a villian! Now it was just the clock ticking and nothing to do but cause some trouble. Hit some citizens with my electric blasts, boy do they run fast! lol Blew up a bus stop, phone booths...and yes cars!! What an explosion! Then I decided to hit the big target...the police station, idiots didn't even have a guard at the door! Went in and took those coppers out, smashed a few jail cell doors and kicked a few more longbows butts before my time ran out, but be warned- I'll be back heroes! And next time I'll try and bring a few more friends for maximum damage! -Electric Fuse (the villian that stole your gold, suckers!)

Azrharn's Trip to Grandeville

Fellow Villains and Friends of Azrhiaz:

Just a quick note from my trip to the newest isle taken over by our Lord Recluse, Grandeville. I have just yet arrived but thought I would send off a postcard to let you know that I and the demon hoard have arrived somewhat safely and to let you know my intial perceptions of the place.

My first view of the plaza

Grandville was very quiet this morning when I arrived so I took a fast fly around. Up the tower and around the sidestreets. I also took a brief trip inside the Patron facility to check out what the lords of the realm had to offer.

Under each statue of the patrons is a plaque that lets you know exactly what each lord can provide you upon swearing allegiance to them. I am not currently ready to commit myself to any of these slackers since as of yet, I am not impressed with what I have heard and seen. However, with further perusal of the zone (perhaps at threat level 41) I will undertake one of their tasks. You can see Black Scorpion behind me. I think he needs to go on a diet frankly.

My welcome here was anything but. They must be living under a rock as they did not quake at my passing as they well ought to. In fact, some arachnos dared attack me in the square shortly before I took the next photo. The grave knights were still sleepy so it was not a pretty site and indeed, the lot of us were cranky by battle's end. However, we showed those dolts who was top dog.
Here I am atop the monumnet to Lord Recluse in the square. I was sorely tempted to take a leak on our esteemed Lord's head whilst I was there (since that is really what I think of him and his current administration) but since I am new here, I thought I would wait until I ::ahem:: was better acquainted with the zone.

I then briefly met my beloved daughter, Azrhiaz in Recluse's Victory. Being that *she was there, it was understandably controlled by the Freedom Corps. Her allegiance with them I will never comprehend, but she is still of my and Dunizel's blood, so how could I not love her, misguided as she is. Over cocktails, she told me of her exploits in the zone. She took over two "pillboxes" with the assistance of a small team. Pillboxes are large military structures with 4 very powerful turrets protecting them. When she demolished the turrets, she was able to take control of the device and had at her disposal 4 large weapons. However, there were no targets in the area (her reputation must have preceeded her, unlike mine (which I find bizarre)) so she went off in search of better amusement. She checked out a Heavy Hitter and walked around with it creating a bit of mayhem (she IS my daughter after all). Heavy hitters are very large walking robots (think X-men Sentinels) with a nice array of weaponry and are good at taking aggro. She also was excited to tell me of her beating down of an ice corruptor who tried to unsuccessfully put the moves on her. (what's *with her and the ice men?) A Longbow with storm powers assisted her with the lout, which pleased her to no end. She was unable to stay long, but in any event there really wasn't a lot happening she told me. She was lonely for her SG apparently and her camera was with the lovely Chaud Woman, who was detained in Peregrine Island.

So that's currently my happenings over here on test. I will update you should the need arise.

Azrharn

Meet the new guy

Hi! I am Metoid. My Dad is Baba Kanoosh and my Mom is The Veterinarian, you may have played a mish or two with them :-).

I thought I'd give you all a little peek at I7! Here's my Electric/Electric brute in action. Didn't like them to begin with but once you get a few hits they rock! Great thing about them is they drain end from their targets and end=fury! Then I played on a team with 7 (yep 7!) thugs, talk about pet lag! So I took a pic for you guys so you could see them...I'm the little blue thing with the red aura in the back, think you can see my leg. lol

Debt Brigade saves Siren's Call

Tech-Blade, Afrodiety, Chaud Woman, Colder, Elitess, Sword of Artemis, Lumier, Captain Thundar

What an awesome PVP night we all had. Nothing like ponying up two teams and kicking villain butt all over Siren's. Huge thanks to Alpha Team (a new coalition member no less) for the much needed heroes. Also, good ol'Cap was there to lend us a hand (I think he's the first unofficial member of the DB :)

I forgot how much fun Siren's could be. I love the whole chaotic warzone atmosphere and it's a blast to be fighting next to a bunch of Longbow. I'm not a huge fan of PVP but I did enjoy fighting off villains last night. We bagged quite a few of them and showed some excellent teamwork. I only wish one of us got the Bots/FF MM. He just would not go down because of his Personal Force Field!

However, we did tip the warzone in favor of the heroes! Where's my badge!?!?! :P

The bounties were flying left and right so gratz to those who cashed out. I would have but being absent-minded I went to the base after being AS'ed and lost my bounty points :*( Let that be a lesson gang :P

We even got a new SG member..all because she saw us taking a group picture. I can't blame her for wanting to join. We have a very tight-knit group and I dare say we are one of the closest SG's out there. We should definitely make more PVP trips on top of our TF's. Great job gang!

PvP Monday Night 9 pm Pacific

Nukes? Villains? Taking back Siren's call? Who know but we're doing something! I'm always up for taking out a few villains! Yes, I'm bitter about Assassin Strikes so vengeance WILL BE MINE! (on everyone of course). ::grin::

Thanks for another fun weekend! AV Satuday was fun. I don't feel so bad for typing my chicken joke and accidently letting Baba die since he was taking photographs of Tech and Nosferatu at the time. Damn paparazzi!!

Also wanted to thank Cap and Chaud for helping Azrharn get that much closer to 40. One -- count it, ONE -- more bar until he's 40. Whew! He's retired until issue 7 comes out, dammit! I'm having zombie hoard buffing nightmares.

Speaking of issues 7, there are some fun video preview trailers of the zones and new stuff here:

City of Villains videos

And here is one for the new Mayhem Missions which is kinda fun to watch! Mayhem Mission
